So there you have it, its official. All we know is that is you come to our Jamboree in August 2011 you will experience a weekend of merriment with an aire of festivity, a party night on the Saturday,a mass gathering or assembly of Volkswagen vehicles and the enthusiast owners thereof. The celebrations will at times be noisy, there could be a few conferences around the site discussing the merits of engine changes or other mods.

Don’t worry, the Gay festivities will be in the genre, happy, carefree and enjoyable and not the other connotation now associated with the word.

Essentially, the Jamboree is founded on getting an assembly of like minded people together for a long weekend. During the weekend there is ample opportunity to chill out and enjoy the friendly atmosphere, buy goodies from the traders we have on site, discuss your rides with other owners and swap tales of what mod is a must or which ones should be avoided as they were a disaster when you tried them.

Enjoy a few bevvies over the weekend and at the evening entertainment on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

We expect the evenings to be a disco on Friday, A Live Band & Disco on the Saturday party night with a themed fancy dress and a Band and Disco on the Sunday.

During the day we will be having the customary outside sets from Alan, the Belfast Busker and Tijson, Mr T. They always draw a good crowd especially if the sun shines, Alan with his own style of humour and song and Ti with his more technically competent mix of acoustic Rock and Songs.

The VW kiddies will be catered for with a range of bouncy castles, magic shows and other attractions.

We hope to have other more adult attractions such as bucking bronco, gyroscope etc too.

Plenty of chance to spend your pennies with a good mix of traders.

A wide range of catering on site for both meat eaters and nut and veg diets.

A local Butcher, John Dower, will call on the 3 days with his butchers van to sell excellent quality meat and sausages, you must try his hoggs pudding.

A local milkman will also be calling to sell his wares to the assemblage.

So there you have it a JAMBOREE for sure.

Oh yes, probably it will be international too, we usually have a few visitors from other nations.

Go on give us a try in 2012, you will have a blast, it’s official. With 25 events under our belt already we know what will make our visitors happy.
