Show and Shine

As ever there will be a Show & Shine competition on the last full day of the show, Sunday.
Richard and his team will again be organising the event and please cooperate fully with them and help them ensure a smooth running event.

Pick your class carefully, it is your decision so, do not complain if you lose marks by entering a standard class with a vehicle which has had modifications carried out to it and vice versa of course.

ONCE POSITIONED ON THE SHOW AND SHINE FIELD VEHICLES ARE TO REMAIN THERE UNTIL 1600HRS AND NO MOVEMENTS ARE ALLOWED UNTIL THIS TIME. THIS IS A HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENT AND WILL GIVE OUR VISITORS A GOOD CHANCE OF VIEWING EVERY ENTRANT

 

In 2011 we started:

A child’s pedal car class.

The vehicle can be a miniature VW or even a wooden go cart in effect as long as it has been
badged VW. This is the only prerequisite.

Spirit of the Show

GENERAL INFORMATION
There is a fee of £1 for the Show ‘n’ Shine [goes to charity]
Judging will commence at 12.00 noon.
All vehicles must be in position by 11.45am
Ensure the vehicle has full access to interior, luggage and engine compartments to facilitate
judging.

Would all entrants please refrain from speaking with the judges whilst they are judging.

If your vehicle is entered into the wrong class you may lose points, ie if your vehicle
is lowered and is entered into a standard class.

A class will be deemed to consist of three or more vehicles. If only two vehicles are
entered in a class, the class may be amalgamated at the organiser’s discretion.

Awards will be made for the first three places.

Entrants must park where instructed by the stewards.

Points will be awarded in the following categories: Paintwork & Panels; Exterior Trim;
Wheels & Tyres; Underbody; Interior; Luggage Compartment; Engine

Please note: Points will be lost if access is not possible due to car, luggage or
engine compartments being locked.

All vehicles entered must display a current road fund licence and should not have been
brought to the show by trailer.

Access into the results hut will not be available whilst judging is being finalised.

THE JUDGE’S / ORGANISER’S DECISION WILL BE FINAL IN ALL RESPECTS

Presentation of awards will take place in the main Marquee immediately following the
last performance given by The Belfast Busker. Rosettes will be placed on vehicles winning
a prize so make sure you come to the presentation if you find one on your windscreen.
